Bingo Rentals - Portable Storage and Bin Rental Booking Platform
What It Is
The Problem
A rental business managing portable storage pods and garbage bins had no online booking system. Customers could not self-serve, staff were taking bookings manually by phone, and there was no way to manage inventory, block unavailable dates, or automate delivery and pickup notifications.
How I Solved It
Built a full Django platform with a four step booking flow covering product selection, calendar based date picking with blackout date support, customer details, and Stripe payment. Pickup scheduling is handled separately with its own payment flow requiring no login. An admin dashboard tracks inventory, order statuses, pricing settings, and scheduled deliveries. SendGrid and Twilio integrations handle booking confirmation, delivery reminders, and pickup confirmation via email and SMS.
The Impact
Replaced a fully manual booking process with a self-serve platform. Customers book and pay online without staff involvement. The admin dashboard gives the business real time visibility into orders, available units, and upcoming deliveries from one place.
